QUETTA: At least two members of the Hazara community were killed while apolice official sustained injuries when unidentified assailants opened fireon them on Sunday in Quetta.

Police said the firing incident took place near the Western Bypass of theprovincial capital. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Ali andMuhammad Zaman.

The dead and injured were shifted to Bolan Medical Complex, Quetta,a police official said, adding that the incident appeared to be a targetedattack as per initial investigation.

Following the attack, a contingent of police personnel reached the crimescene and began investigation by gathering evidence.

This is the second armed attack targeting members of the Hazara Communityof Quetta in less than a month. Earlier this month, a member of the HazaraCommunity was shot dead while another injured when unidentified assailantsopened fire on their vehicle near the Kandahari Bazaar.
