In the latest ODI player rankings, Pakistan's national team captain Babar Azam has secured the first position, however the difference is fast reducing with No 2 placing his position in danger.

Mohammad Siraj, who dismissed Sri Lanka for 50 runs in Colombo, has topped the ICC ODI bowling rankings. In the ODI batting rankings, South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen, who played a destructive inning of 174 runs against Australia in the fourth ODI, has risen to the 9th position after a 20-place improvement.

As a result, Shadab Khan is now close to the current top-ranked ODI batsman, Babar Azam, making him one of the best ODI players in the current rankings.

At this moment, Babar Azam holds the first position with 857 points, while Shadab Khan is at the second spot with 814 points. Despite an outstanding 29-run innings against Sri Lanka, Babar Azam is only 6 points ahead of the national team captain.
