Police Station attacked in Pakistan with heavy weapons, SHO critically injured

In the district of Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an attack has occurred on the Gomal Police Station by unidentified militants with malicious intent.
According to authorities, unknown elements attempted to breach the Gomal Police Station from all sides, launching an assault with both light and heavy weapons. In a timely response from the police, these elements were unsuccessful in their unholy ambitions.
As per the police, an exchange of fire between the police and the terrorists continued for a considerable duration. During this exchange of fire, SHO (Station House Officer) Thana Gomal, Asghar Khan, sustained severe injuries from a gunshot and has been transferred to the Sola Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan for treatment.
Upon receiving information about the incident, District Police Officer Tank, Iftikhar Ali Shah, immediately reached the scene with DSPs, SHOs, and a significant police force. They cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits.
