Pakistan Afghanistan border reopens

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan-Afghanistan border has been reopened after two days of closure.
As per the media report, border at Torkham has reopened for all sorts of traffic on Sunday.
On October 19, Pakistan has decided to keep friendship gates on Pak-Afghan border crossing points at Chaman and Torkham closed for Friday and Saturday.
According to the Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal statement, the crossing points have been closed on Afghanistan's government request.
The spokesperson said the decision has been taken to support the smooth conduct of upcoming Parliamentary elections in Afghanistan.
