KP Govt allocates Rs100b for development of tribal districts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in Peshawar concluded general discussion on current fiscal year's budget.
Winding up the debated, Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra said combined strategy will be evolved with opposition to put province on path of rapid development. He said the government is planning to provide interest free loan to forty thousand youth. The Minister said special fund of hundred billion rupees will be spent on tribal districts.
Members of opposition benches also took part in the debate on concluding session of the budget.
Zafar Azam of JUI-F criticized the imposition of tax on contractors in the budget.
Sobia Shahid of PML-N said former PTI government took loan of two hundred and seventy billion rupees during last five years which badly affected the economic condition of province.
Speaking on a call attention notice, Senior Minister Atif Khan said government is taking concrete steps to complete all ongoing projects within stipulated time. He said fifteen new tourist spots have been identified which will be developed for the promotion of tourism in the province. Responding to a question, Muhammad Atif Khan said the provincial government is taking steps for protection of miners labourers. He said a committee has already been constituted for this purpose.
The House will now meet on Monday at ten in the morning.
