PCB case against BCCI is waste of time and money: Shahryar Khan

LAHORE – Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan has on Saturday said that PCB’s case against India regarding the bilateral series is weak, and the governing body should go for negotiations instead of legal battle.

Shahryar Khan suggested PCB Chairman Najam Sethi that the board will waste time as well as money by dragging the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in the court. Pakistan-India series can be organized by conducting dialogues, he maintained.

It is worth mentioning here that the decision of filing case against the BCCI was taken in Shahryar Khan’s own tenure, but his current statement has changed the scenario altogether.

BCCI had signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PCB to play bilateral series which was not fulfilled, and Pakistan had announced to take it to court to get six billion rupees as compensation for not playing.
