Lahore beats Delhi to reclaim top slot of World's most polluted city

LAHORE - Amidst thickening smog, Lahore—Punjab’s capital—has reclaimed spot of world’s most polluted city.

As per details garnered, Air Quality Index dropped to 270 in several areas of the city.

With the increase in the AQI, Lahore's air quality has gone from 'unhealthy' to 'very unhealthy'.

Meanwhile, the Punjab education department has decided to keep all public and private schools in Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad closed on November 22 due to toxic smog.

According to a notification issued by the provincial government, the schools will remain closed due to dense smog in the three districts.

The decision has been taken keeping in view the worst smog. A notification has been issued by the School Education Department in this regard.
