Religious parties form new alliance for general election

RAWALPINDI: Some religious parties belonging to Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat Brelvi school of thought have formed a political alliance, named “Nizam e Mustafa Mutihada Mahaz” to play active role in the next general election.

Addressing a press conference here at Jamia Islamia, Convener of the Mahaz, Sahibzada Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that establishing the alliance of religious parties was the need of the hour so thatall important religious political parties could play their role in the next election.

Kazmi urged government to resolve the issue of sit-in amicably adding the use of force willcreate a law and order situation which is not in the interest of the country.

He said that celebrations of Eid Milad Un Nabi (SAW) would commence with the slogan of Khatam e Nabowat (SAW).

Hamid informed that Ulema conference would be held on December 21 in Lahore, adding that the alliance would be extended to other religious parties after making it functional. The new alliance and its leadership would submit suggestions to solve problems faced by the Ummah, he added.

Chairman Jamat Ahle Sunnat Syed Raiz Hussain Shah, President Sunni Ittehad Council Hamid Raza, Chief of Mustafa party Haji Hanif Tayyab, Jamait Ulema Pakistan President Maulana Ans Noorani, Abul KhairZubair and others were present on the occasion.
