Black Coats are soldiers of Judiciary: LHCBA President

LAHORE: Former president Supreme Court Bar
Association Hamid Khan on Monday said that the lawyers stood
with the independent judiciary.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday along with
Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) current office
bearers and its former presidents, he said that it was a
violation of the constitution to talk against court judgement.
He said: "We will not allow anyone to disrespect court verdicts
in any situation."
He said that few lawyers were not representing stance of
lawyers community accurately. He said that committee comprising
current and former office bearers had been constituted to stop anti-judiciary move. He said, "We did not have any political
agenda rather we are supporting judiciary for supremacy of law."
LHCBA President Chaudhry Zulifqar said that black-coats
were soldiers of the judiciary and would not tolerate any
criticism against the court verdicts.
Lawyer leaders including Shafqat Mehmood Chohan, Mian
Abdul Quddus, Asghar Gill, Maqsood Buttar and Tahir Warriach
also spoke on the occasion.
