Death toll from derailment of Jaffar Express reaches to Twenty: Pakistan Railways Police

QUETTA: Twenty people have died and several injured in the incident of derailment of Jaffar Express near Abegum area of Bolan district. As per initial reports the incident took place due to the failure of brakes of the train. The train was carrying around three hundred passengers form Quetta to the Rawalpindi. Four carriages of train derailed near Abegum. Twenty passengers including driver, assistant driver and two police personnel lost their lives in this incident; Spokesman of Pakistan Railways Police (PRP), SP Makhdoom Qaiser Bashir was quoted as saying. Rescue teams, FC and Levies rushed to the side and shifted the dozens wounded to the hospital. Emergency was declared in all hospitals of Quetta. As per Railway sources a committee has been established to investigate the reasons of incident. Pakistan Railways sources also added that the experts visited the site for the inquiry of the incident.
