Umar Akmal likely to be dropped from Champions Trophy squad, may be sent back home

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani middle order batsman Umar Akmal who is fond of controversies in his life is likely to be dropped from the Pakistan squad representing Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy as Umar Akmal failed to pass a fitness test ahead of Champions Trophy tournament.
According to reports, Head Coach Micky Arthur will now make the final decision on Akmal`s inclusion in the squad.
Earlier, in a video message released by Pakistan Cricket Board, Arthur said that fielding and fitness are of utmost importance to him.
“Fitness, fielding is of paramount importance. Good fielding gives us a chance for better batting and bowling," he said.
