PTI government endorses Shahbaz Sharif’s offer
ISLAMABAD - In a major political development, the federal government on Friday has endorsed Shehbaz Sharif’s offer of ‘Charter of Economy’.
As per details garnered, Speaker National Assembly (NA), Asad Qaiser, called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan here in Islamabad to contemplate on offer extended by Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif.
The premier has also decided to constitute a high-level parliamentary committee to pull country out of the deepening economic quagmire. The [would be] parliamentary committee will have members from both treasury and opposition benches.
The committee will also have members from the lower and upper houses of the parliament.
It is pertinent here to mention that Shehbaz Sharif—during his speech in NA on budget session—had stated had said that Charter of Economy was possible with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government in supreme national interest.
