International Olympic Day to be observed

MULTAN: (APP) Like other parts of the countries, the International Olympic Day will also be observed in Pakistan on June 23.
The aim of observing the day is to promote participation in sports activities across the globe regardless of age, gender or athletic ability.
Based on the three pillar Move, Learn and Discover, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) is continuing sports, culture and educational activities. Some countries have introduced the event in the school curricula also.
In Pakistan, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has decided to hold various events in different parts of the country on June 23 (Thursday) to mark the Olympic Day with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Talking to APP, Secretary Shahbaz Ahmad Sr. said that the PHF would celebrate the Olympic Day according to the guidelines of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the international Hockey Federation.
