COAS Visit to Germany: German Military Chief vows to learn from Pak counter terrorism experience

RAWALPINDI: (APP) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday arrived in Berlin on a two-day official visit to Germany, an ISPR news release here stated.
The COAS was given guard of honour on arrival at historic German Ministry of Defence. He met German Army Chief and Defence Minister.
Bilateral military to military relations, enhanced defence and security cooperation, training exchanges came under discussion during the meeting.
Acknowledging Pakistan Army's accomplishments in war on terror, German military leaders showed interest in learning from Pakistan military experience.
During the meeting with German Defence Minister, she specially appreciated the COAS's consistency and will in fighting terrorism.
During his stay in Germany, the COAS will be meeting with military and political leadership.
The COAS will also undertake a day long visit to Czech Republic to meet political and military leadership in Prague.
