ISLAMABAD (APP): A new rain spell is expected from Friday night which is likely to continue till Sunday with moderate to heavy rains in upper Punjab, KP and Kashmir while light to moderate rain likely in lower KP.
Met office forecast mainly hot and humid weather in most parts of the country, however, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions FATA and Kashmir during (evening/night).
Seasonal low lies over north-Balochistan and its adjoining areas.Weak monsoon currents are also penetrating eastern parts of the country, an official of Met office told APP.
In last 24 hours rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places of Kalat division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rainfall recorded during this time span was Gilgit-Baltistan: Hunza 08mm, Gilgit 04mm, Astore, Bunji 01mm and Balochistan: Khuzdar 02mm.
Maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday was Dadu 44øC, Nokkundi, Dalbandin 43øC, Sukkur and Sh. Benazirabad 42øC, Lahore 38øC, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Islamabad 37øC, Faisalabad, Hyderabad 36øC, Muzaffarabad, Chitral 35øC, Dir, Karachi 32øC, Kalat 31øC, Skardu 27øC, Gilgit 26øC, Murree 25øC and Hunza 23øC.
