ISLAMABAD - COAS General Qamar Bajwa inaugurated AstroTurf hockey stadium in Rawalpindi completed with Army Foundation support.
An astroturf hockey stadium of international standard has been completed at Ayub National Park in Rawalpindi as a joint venture of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) and Army Heritage Foundation.
This facility will promote national hokey and provide state of the art sports facilities.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the chief guest on inaugural hockey match played between Pakistan Greens and Pakistan White.
The Army Chief appreciated MPCL for efforts to revive the national game of hockey.
