China-US relations contribute to world peace, prosperity: Chinese Consul General

China says establishment of diplomatic relations with United States has had a huge and profound impact on development of bilateral relations and maintenance of world peace.
This was stated by Chinese Consul General Wang Donghua while addressing an event marking 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
Wang said older generation of Chinese and U.S. leaders broke the ice of isolation between the two countries with extraordinary strategic vision and political wisdom to establish bilateral diplomatic ties.
