US devising plan to withdraw up to half of its troops from Afghanistan

KABUL: The United States is devising a plan to withdraw up to half of its troops from Afghanistan.
A US official, said a decision has been made and verbal orders given to start planning for the drawdown.
The official said timelines are being discussed but it could happen in weeks or months.
At present, US has 14,000 troops in Afghanistan.
