Myanmar bars U.N. rights investigator just before visit

The UN independent investigator into human rights in Myanmar has been barred from visiting the country for the rest of her tenure.
UN special rapporteur Yanghee Lee in a statement said she had been due to visit in January to assess human rights across Myanmar but Myanmar had now told her it would not cooperate with her any more.
She said this declaration of non-cooperation with her mandate can only be viewed as a strong indication that there must be something terribly awful happening in Rakhine.
