Captain (R) Safdar rushed to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology in emergency

*ISLAMABAD - Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar, the jailed son-in-law of premier Nawaz Sharif has been shifted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology as he complained of chest pain.*

The PML-N leader was brought to the hospital late Monday night after he complained of pain in the chest and stomach. The institute’s CEO, General Azhar Kiyani, will examine Capt (retd) Safdar, after which doctors will decide whether a surgery will be conducted or not.

On Monday, PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi was also brought to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology after he complained of chest pain. The Control of Narcotics Substances (CNS) court had convicted Abbasi in the ephedrine quota case on July 22. He has been incarcerated in Adiala jail.
