LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan may become the next Chief Minister of Punjab in Usman Buzdar is sacked.
He is expected to take oath as a member of Punjab Assembly (MPA) later this week, a private media outlet has reported.
Nisar — who had contested the 2018 general elections from two National Assembly and two provincial seats — could only manage to secure his PA-10 constituency seat. He has, however, not taken his oath till date.
Reportedly, Nisar can replace Sardar Usman Buzdar as Punjab Chief Minister as the premier is not happy with his performance as the chief administrator of the province.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Imran Khan also gave an assessment criterion to the Punjab Chief Minister to assess the performance of cabinet members and, if deems necessary, replace them.
