Blasphemous content: ATC sent four accused on judicial remand

ISLAMABAD: An-Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Friday granted 12-day judicial remand of four accused allegedly involved in practice of uploading blasphemous material on social media.
ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi heard the case registered by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against the accused.
The accused were produced before the court by FIA after completion of seven-day physical remand.
The court asked the FIA to inform the four accused about the sections imposed in FIA against them as it was their legal right.
The FIA apprised the court that the same sections were imposed against all the accused.
The FIA official adopted the stance that there was no need for further physical remand of the accused. On which the court granted judicial remand of the accused until May 4. (APP)
