LAHORE – Amidst thickening smog, Lahore—Punjab’s capital—has reclaimedspot of world’s most polluted city.
As per details garnered, Air Quality Index dropped to 270 in several areasof the city.
With the increase in the AQI, Lahore’s air quality has gone from’unhealthy’ to ‘very unhealthy’.
Meanwhile, the Punjab education department has decided to keep all publicand private schools in Lahore, Gujranwala and Faisalabad closed on November22 due to toxic smog.

According to a notification issued by the provincial government, theschools will remain closed due to dense smog in the three districts.
The decision has been taken keeping in view the worst smog. A notificationhas been issued by the School Education Department in this regard.
