Pakistan has been re-elected to the Executive Board of UNESCO for the nextfour-year term.
According to reports, Pakistan has secured 154 votes out of 180 cast in anelection held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris today.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative toUNESCO Moin ul Haque hailed Pakistan’s re-election.
Both termed it as a testimony to Pakistan’s long-standing positivecontribution to promoting educational, scientific and cultural cooperationbetween nations, and its firm commitment towards achieving UNESCO’s goalsand objectives.
