Senior leader of TehreekHurriyat Kashmir martyred by Indian forces, Pakistan strongly reacts

ISLAMABAD – A senior leader of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, MirHafeezullah has been martyred in Indian Occupied Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian armed agents barged into thehouse of Mir Hafeezullah in Achabal area of Islamabad district and openedindiscriminate fire, injuring him and his wife. They were rushed to thenearby hospital where doctors declared Mir Hafeezullah as brought dead.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal on his Twitter handle wrote,“Pakistan strongly condemns the brutal assassination of Kashmiri leaderHafizullah Mir”.

He also slammed “the continuing Indian atrocities in IOK including thekilling of 3 Kashmiris & injuries to 8 others, including 3 girls yesterdayby Indian occupation forces”.

Pakistan also hailed Secretary General of Organisation of IslamicCooperation (OIC) Dr Yousaf Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen’s statement in which hehad condemned the rights violations being perpetrated in Occupied Kashmirby India.
