ISLAMABAD – In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, work on the construction of Lawai hydelpower station in Chitral is in full swing.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent, Spokesman ofPakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization told that the power stationwill be completed at a cost of twenty-two billion rupees by 2022.

He said on completion, it will generate sixty-nine megawatts electricity.

The spokesman said that the Chitral has the potential to produce twothousand and nine hundred megawatts electricity from hydel resources.
