*ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Railways has announced to increase fares for allclasses for contribution to Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dam fund.*

According to a statement released by the department, ticket prices will beincreased by Rs.1, Rs.2 & Rs.10 for Economy and Business Class “in order toplay a vital role in dam fund contribution”.

The statement says that an additional amount of Rs.1 shall be charged onthe purchase of Economy Class ticket worth Rs.100 from each passenger andRs.2 for tickets worth more than Rs.100.

In the same manner, an additional amount of Rs.10 shall be charged on A/Cclass ticket.

“This minor surcharge for Dam Fund shall be levied on all tickets, PTOs,free privilege passes, military vouchers, e-ticketing, computerized ticketsPCTS, BTS and current reservations of Pakistan Railways,” reads thestatement issued by PR.
