Hasan Ali to retire from the International Cricket?

Pakistan cricketer Hassan Ali has reacted to criticism from a social media troll who suggested his retirement from limited-overs cricket ahead of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India. This comes as Pakistan considers whether to include Hassan Ali, Zaman Khan, or Muhammad Hasnain in the World Cup squad, following reports of star pacer Naseem Shah's possible exclusion due to a shoulder injury.

A user on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, recommended that selectors choose Arshad Iqbal over Hassan Ali, citing Arshad's ability to generate extra bounce and deliver fewer poor deliveries.

The user expressed the opinion that Hassan Ali's bowling assists opposing batters and suggested his retirement to avoid further embarrassment for the team.

In response, Hassan Ali, at the age of 29, defended his decision not to retire from white-ball cricket, emphasizing that he is still a young player. He currently boasts 229 wickets and 867 runs in his 132 international appearances for Pakistan.
