Tsunami warning issued for Pakistan coastal areas: report

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has warned that a earthquake and tsunami can occur in the surrounding areas of the Makran's southern region, 50 kilometers away from the undersea tectonic plates junction at any time.
In a statement issued by Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz, it has been mentioned that there are possible earthquake risks in the Arabian Sea, but definitive earthquake predictions are not possible in advance.
Sardar Sarfraz stated that in the southern region of Makran, there is a junction of undersea tectonic plates 50 kilometers away, and earthquakes and tsunamis can occur in the surrounding areas at any time.
The Chief Meteorologist mentioned that in the past, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 has occurred in this region, and if such an earthquake occurs again, Karachi could be affected by a tsunami.
