Sheikh Rashid, an Awami Muslim League (AML) leader and a key ally of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), has re-emerged after reportedly being granted an exclusive 'interview' on a private news channel, as per claims by a journalist considered close to the concerned quarters.
He was apprehended by the police in an undisclosed case on September 17, and his whereabouts had been unknown.Azaz Syed mentioned on his social media account that Sheikh Rashid did not indicate any plans to dissolve his party or join the Istikham-e-Pakistan party led by Jahangir Tarin.
On Thursday, the Lahore High Court's Rawalpindi bench issued a "final deadline" for the recovery of AML chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.
The court instructed the police to locate and recover the former federal interior minister by October 26. This case has garnered significant attention and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Sheikh Rashid's arrest.
