In the 17th match of the ICC World Cup, during the India-Bangladesh game, all-rounder Hardik Pandya suffered an injury and had to leave the field.In the match being played in Pune, Bangladesh's captain, Najmul Hasan Shanto, won the toss and invited India to bat. However, during the match, while trying to stop the ball, Hardik Pandya fell on the pitch.

In the ninth over of the match, Indian all-rounder Pandya attempted to stop a shot from the Bangladeshi opener Liton Das with a direct throw but fell to the ground due to pain.

Upon seeing the severity of Pandya's pain, the physio had to be called to the stadium. After that, the cricketer left the ground. Later, Virat Kohli bowled the last three balls of Pandya's over.
