Australian skipper snubs Indian journalist who tried to create controversy against Pakistani batter Mohammad Rizwan

Australia's captain, Pat Cummins, found himself in a situation on Thursday when an Indian journalist incorrectly attributed a statement to Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. This journalist attempted to create controversy by falsely claiming that Rizwan had dedicated Pakistan's victory against Sri Lanka to Hamas. It's essential to clarify that Rizwan had, in fact, dedicated Pakistan's win to Palestine rather than Hamas.
Despite the journalist's efforts to stir up controversy, Cummins did not provide the response he was hoping for. Cummins simply stated, "I love seeing sportspeople, seeing their personalities brought out as well. So, no hugely strong thoughts either way."
In a related context, other Pakistani cricketers have also expressed their support for Palestine due to ongoing conflicts and inhumane attacks on innocent Palestinians by Israel.
These cricketers, who are currently in India for the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023, showed their solidarity by posting Palestine flags on various social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter).
