RAWALPINDI: Indian Army soldiers killed and two bunkers destroyed by Pakistan Army retaliatory fire at LoC, ISPR has reported.

Nine soldiers of the Indian army were killed and many others injured when Pakistan Army troops gave a "befitting response" to Indian ceasefire violations in Jura, Shahkot and Nousehri Khuiratta and Kotkhetera Tatta Pani sectors along the Line of Control, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

According to DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, firing by Indian troops martyred one Pakistani soldier and two civilians.

"Two soldiers and five civilians were injured in cross-border firing," the statement said.

“Indian unprovoked CFVs in Jura, Shahkot and Nousehri Sectors deliberately targeting civilians. Effectively responded. Nine Indian soldiers killed several injured,” DG ISPR said.

He added two Indian bunkers were also destroyed in firing by Pakistani soldiers.
