In promising news for students, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) announced on Monday that Pakistani students now have the opportunity to pursue studies in Europe through scholarships.
Under the "Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (2024-25)," students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir can enroll in bachelor's, master's, one-tier master's, and PhD programs at various Hungarian universities.
The scholarships will cover tuition fees and offer financial assistance for accommodation and health. HEC Pakistan tweeted about the open applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, encouraging Pakistani and AJK nationals to apply for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD studies by January 15, 2024. For bachelor's and one-tier master's degrees, the minimum requirement is 12 years of education, while applicants for master's programs must have completed 16 years of education. Individuals with 17-18 years of education are eligible to apply for PhD degrees.
It's important to note that while the program won't fully cover living costs, it will contribute to students' expenses. Further details about different degree programs and fields of study can be found on the relevant website mentioned in the post on X (formerly Twitter).
Applicants must submit their applications, including final degrees and transcripts, before the August 1, 2024 deadline, and additional information is available on HEC's website.
