Turkish authorities orders arrest of 249 foreign ministry personnel

ANKARA - Turkish authorities have ordered the arrest of 249 Foreign Ministry personnel over suspected links with the US-based cleric involved in attempted coup in 2016.
The Ankara chief prosecutor’s office said, 91 suspects have been detained so far in operations across 43 provinces and the police are seeking the rest.
The arrest was ordered after investigations found that they had also committed irregularities in the ministry’s past entrance exams.
