CM Balochistan directs to ensure provision of drinking water to people of Gwadar July 20, 2020

ISLAMABAD-Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has directed the concerned authorities to ensure a lasting solution to the issue of provision of drinking water to the people of Gwadar.
Chairing a meeting of the Governing Body of Gwadar Development Authority held in Quetta today (Monday), the Chief Minister also instructed to devise a water policy and a master plan for distribution and supply of water to the inhabitants of old Gwadar town and new populations.
Lauding the Prime Minister’s relief Package for the construction sector, Jam Kamal said that the historical package will enhance economic activities in the country. He added that the package will have positive impacts on development of Gwadar.
On this occasion, the Director General Gwadar Port Authority Naseer Kashani apprised the meeting that the 1.5 million gallons drinking water will be available from newly constructed desalination plant under the authority within three months.
He also informed the meeting that the construction work of Gwadar International Airport will be completed in 2022.
