RAWALPINDI: PML-N leader Pervaiz Rasheed has criticized the alleged dual standards of justice, citing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s request to the National Accountability Bureau yesterday to appear before it in the helicopter misuse investigation after the election.
Talking to the media on Thursday, he alleged that Imran has the liberty to write his own judgments.
He claimed that the ongoing electoral process is a selection and not an election, asking why the people’s right to choose their own representatives is being usurped.
Pervaiz Rasheed said that solitary confinement has not been mentioned in the sentence of Nawaz Sharif.
“The resolve of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar is as strong as it was outside the jail. No sentence or jail can stop him from his goal,” he added.
He said that even a father is not allowed to meet his daughter in jail. “Why has the slogan of ‘give respect to vote’ been made a crime?” he said.
