In BJP Modi so called secular India, Amazon Show crew tender unconditional apology to Hindu fundamentalists

New Delhi: The cast and crew of Amazon Prime show Tandav have issued unconditional apology after drama was accused by Hindu politicians of hurting nationalistic and religious sentiments.
According to details, many of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have called for the show to be removed and complaints have been filed in the police.
One member of the ruling BJP party said that the series is "deliberately mocking Hindu gods".
Tandav also involves slogans related to Kashmir which began to draw criticism from members of Hindu-nationalist party BJP after its release.
Following the controversy, the director Ali Abbas Zafar issued an apology saying Tandav is a work of fiction and any resemblance to acts and persons and events is purely coincidental
"The cast and crew of Tandav... unconditionally apologize if it has unintentionally hurt anybody's sentiments," he added.
The show starring, Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, is loosely based on hit show House of Cards. The show quickly drew criticism on social media post release with multiple cases filed against the series.
The show revolves around the life of Samar Pratap Singh (Saif Ali Khan), a politician who is hoping his father Devki Nandan (Tigmanshu Dhulia), who is also premier of India, will offer the role to him, but his father has other plans in mind.
