Trump offers 3-year extension of protection for 'dreamers' in exchange for border wall

The US President Donald Trump has offered three years of protections for young undocumented immigrants known as "Dreamers," as well as for holders of temporary protected status, another class of immigrants.

In his speech from the White House, he set out new plans on his Mexican wall project to try to end a partial government shutdown lasting more than four weeks.

Donald Trump also insisted for his demand for 5.7 billion dollars to fund a US-Mexico border barrier.
