A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Faisal Arab heard the review appeals filed by JWD Sugar Mills and Ittefaq Sugar Mills against February 9 apex court order.

During the course of proceedings, Barrister Ali Gohar counsel for JWD Sugar Mills appeared before the court and informed that Lahore High Court had granted relief to his client over the point and pleaded the court to withdraw petition.

Upon this the court allowed the petitioner to withdraw application and disposed of the case.

It is to mention that the apex court in its decision on February 9 suspended the LHC decision regarding shifting of mills from north to south Punjab and halted the crushing operations of the Ittefaq, Chaudhry and Haseeb sugar mills.
