PIA privatization bill presented in Senate for approval

ISLAMABAD: Federal government has presented PIA privatization bill in Senate for approval but the bill has been handed over to relevant Apex-Committee on the demand of PPP by Chairman and ordered to give report within 12 days.
As per details, the session of senate was held under the chairmanship of Mian Raza Rabbani. Voting lists amendment bill, Pakistan Halal Authority bill and publication of Pakistani laws bill were approved by senate.
PPP and MQM staged protest and walked out from Senate over the killing of PPP worker in AJK and raising drugs prices respectively. Leader of the House Raja Zafrul Haq said that to maintain law and order in AJK is the responsibility of AJK government. AJK PM and Ministers are urging people for protest.
MQM member Sheikh Ateeq said that the prices of drugs have been raised by 100% which will create problems for the poor people. Chairman ordered to send the matter of drugs to the relevant committee.
