US State Department makes a surprise offer to both Pakistan and India

US State Department spokesperson Ned Price on Tuesday said that the USA is ready to assist Pakistan and India to sort out their differences for the betterment of two neighboring countries in the South Asia region.
US State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters at his daily news conference that a constructive dialogue between Pakistan and India is for the betterment of the people.
The US spokesperson said they have a global strategic partnership with India and a deep partnership with Pakistan and these relationships in their mind are not zero-sum.
On a query, Ned Price said they do not view both countries in relation to one another as each of them is indispensable to the US and to the promotion and the pursuit of the shared goals with Pakistan and India.
He further stated that the USA don't want to see a verbal conflict between India and Pakistan because they have partnerships with both nations.
Ned Price added that the USA would like to see Pakistan and India engage in constructive and productive dialogue as it believes that is for the benefit of the people of Pakistan and India.
He said there are issues between India and Pakistan that need to be addressed and as a partner to both countries, the USA is prepared to help.
