Pakistan MMA Star Bashir Ahmed wins gold medal in JiuJitsu Championship in Thailand

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s PAK MMA Star, Bashir Ahmed won a gold medal in the 85kg weight in the expert division at the Bangkok JiuJitsu Championships in Thailand.
“I would like to dedicate this victory to all the martyrs and real heroes of my beloved country, especially those who perished three years back and to those who stopped the tragedy for further escalation like my boys at SSG Pakistan Army. Long Live Pakistan!” said Bashir Ahmad after winning the gold medal.
Bashir Ahmad is known as the “Godfather of Pakistani MMA .” He was born in Pakistan and left for the United States as a child. He served in the United States Army and did a tour of Iraq in 2004-2005 where he began studying martial arts.
In 2009 he moved to Pakistan to promote the sport of Mixed Martial Arts through his organization (PAKMMA). Bashir Ahmad is the first person to represent Pakistan in international MMAcompetition when he made his debut at the largest MMA league in Asia, ONE Championship in April 2013, defeating the heavily favored Shannon “One Shin” Wriratchai.
