Tarbela Dam likely to attain maximum conservation level

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19 (APP):The Tarbela dam is likely to attain its maximum conservation level of 1550 feet on Monday as water level has reached to 1548.50 feet.
According to the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), total water storage in major reservoirs in Tarbela ,Mangla and Chashma has also touched to 8.826 million acre feet (MAF).
Meanwhile, IRSA on Sunday released 308,900 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 376,000 cusecs.
According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1548.50 feet, which was 162.50 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet.
Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 221,600 cusecs while outflow as 178,000 cusecs.
The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1170.00 feet, which was 130.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 33,500 cusecs and 10,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 203,600, 158,400 and 143,800 cusecs
respectively.
Similarly from the Kabul River, 41,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 47,900 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
