Strict security arrangements to be made on urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar

HYDERABAD: The district administration Jamshoro has decided to adopt strict security arrangements during three-day 765th annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Usman Marvandi Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to be started from 18th Shaban of Islamic month at Sehwan Town.
In this connection, the Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Munawar Ali Mahesar who is also the Chairman of Shahbaz Mela Committee presided over a meeting at his office on Thursday which reviewed at length the arrangements and facilities for tens of thousand devotees who come to Sehwan town to pay homage to Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
The meeting decided that besides walk-through gates, 150 close circuit television cameras will be installed at different points around the mausoleum of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to monitor the activities of the people.
Besides, the deployments of Rangers and Police, plain clothes members of law enforcement agencies would also keep vigil eye on the movements during urs celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner informed.
The meeting also decided to enhance the numbers of cold drinking water points with setting up lavatories and cleanliness in the town in order to facilitate the devotees during hot weather.
Besides public and private ambulance services, medical camps will also be established to provide first aid to devotees in case of emergency, the meeting decided. (APP)
