*RIYADH – Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry met hisSaudi counterpart, Dr Awad al Awwad in Jeddah and discussed matters ofbilateral interest.*

The Saudi Minister showed interest in screening Pakistani TV dramas onSaudi channels, according to the report.

The Minister said the opening of doors of the Khana Kaaba for PrimeMinister Imran Khan and his delegation was an exceptional honour forPakistan.

Fawad Chaudhry said both the countries enjoyed very strong and fraternalrelations which are poised to grow with time.

He said the visit of Saudi Minister for Information to Pakistan was veryimportant and had set direction for coordination between the two ministries.

Speaking on the occasion, the Saudi Minister for Information Dr Awwad saidthere is a huge potential for media cooperation between the two countriesand both the countries needed to take advantage of that opportunity.

Both the leaders also agreed on a joint media strategy to combat extremism.
