Key Pakistani political leader killed by assailants

An ANP senior leader in Quetta was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. Arbab Ghulam Kasi, the ANP leader, was gunned down within the premises of Kuchlak police station, according to the police. The deceased ANP leader's body has been transported to Civil Hospital Quetta.

In a separate incident earlier in Mastung district of Balochistan, there was an explosion near the car of Hafiz Hamdullah, a leader of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), resulting in injuries to him, one of his aides, and his gunman.

Hafiz Hamdullah, who also serves as the spokesman for the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance, sustained severe injuries and, along with the others, was taken to Mir Ghaus Bakhsh Raisani Hospital in Quetta for treatment.
