Good news in the field of national production of gas: Significant gas reserves have been discovered in Chak 1/214, an exploratory well located in the Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab.
According to a spokesperson from Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), the company achieved a depth of 1851 meters in the well on June 29, 2023, and obtained a daily production of 1.1 million cubic feet of gas in the Dungan Formation.

According to the OGDCL spokesperson, OGDCL is the sole operator of the Mari East Block with a 100% share, and the company is committed to meeting the energy needs of the country with utmost efficiency and dedication to achieving excellence.
