KUALALAMPUR - In Malaysia, former Prime Minister Najib Razak was arrested today in connection with a deposit of about forty two million ringgit, equal to 627.79 million US dollars into his personal account.
In a statement, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said Najib will be presented before court tomorrow.
Earlier last month, the former Malaysian Prime Minister had been accused of money laundering, criminal breach of trust and abuse of power.
Najib has denied all these charges, saying the money in his account were donations from Saudi Arabia, most of which he returned.
