Belarus ambassador vow to enhance bilateral trade ties with Pakistan

LAHORE: (APP) Belarusian Ambassador Andrei Ermolovich called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here on Monday.
Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that there are good friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus, however, there was a need to take solid steps to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries.
He said that economic cooperation could also be increased through exchange of trade delegations. He said that there was a vast scope of investment in agriculture, mining, livestock, industry and other sectors in Punjab and Belarusian investors could take benefit from investment opportunities in the province.

Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab wanted to benefit from the skill and expertise of Belarus in auto industry and he would visit Belarus at the earliest.
Belarusian Ambassador Andrei Ermolovich said that Belarus attached high importance to its relations with Pakistan especially Punjab and wanted promotion of trade relations between the two countries.
Provincial Minister for Industries Ch. Muhammad Shafiq, Member Provincial Assembly Ali Raza Gillani, Chairman Punjab Investment Board, Secretary Industries and officers concerned were present on the occasion.
